This blog will no longer be updated. Instead I will be posting stuff about my exploits on my Facebook: Craig Skinner Photography

"Rovrum"...

...as they say round these parts. It's becoming quite the playground for myself and jazzywheelz of late. We managed to find our way onto a few rooftops, some with more ease than others, while prowling the streets on a few occasions. Still plenty more to see we reckon, so will be back again to see what we can crack.

Time to kill.

At work and with time to kill one sunny November dinner time, I decided to nip back up the iQuarter in Sheffield to enjoy the views.

Go Sports Team!

After nosing around the church in Killamarsh, I met up with jw in Rotherham for a bash at Millmoor stadium, Rotherham United's old ground. Not a sports fan these days by any means, but this was nice to see, especially after missing out on the Don Valley Stadium action earlier in the month. Lots of laughs evading security, and then free-reign of the place, very entertaining night.

Turd polisher deployed

Finally stuck my head in this church that I'd spotted ages ago (as usual) when I had some free time one afternoon. The Congregational Church, also known as the Church on the Hill, or more recently The New Hope (Episode IV) Community Church, is a derp in the Derbyshire village of Killamarsh, which is technically in Sheffield, or the other way around if that makes any more sense.

Sod all history to be found on it, apart from the fact that it used to be a grand old place and is now almost featureless due to the modern partitioning etc, and it hasn't been used for a couple of years, but various different groups want to use it for various different reasons.

If you love chairs, and pine panelling, this is the derp for you.

Failgate

Hit a nice little rooftop a while back with jw, but seemingly lost any ability to use my camera...

Calls for a revisit. Should probably sort one out anyway as there may be more to this rooftop than we first thought.

This was after having a crack at another site, a much taller one which shall remain nameless for now as there is still hope we can top it.

Aye, aye (Quarter)

After our success with St Paul's, me and jw were excited to try and hit another rooftop in town. I'd tried the roof of iQuarter quite a while back but had been stumped. St. Paul's had given me and jw a fresh perspective on things, so looking at things differently, we managed to crack this one easily after some lateral thinking.
Not the tallest building by a long shot (at 51 metres), but certainly worth the views, and another one under our belts.

Stopped off to check out a shit-derp-church beforehand which didn't offer too much in the way of excitement besides some great artwork by Eug/Booms, Colorart, and Skint.
